POSITION SUMMARY The Material Handler is tasked with processing orders, receiving material, and loading/unloading trucks, all the while maintaining traceability and quality standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: - Select and pull material in a safe and efficient manner, according to Sales Order (SO) instructions. - Ensure product meets SO requirements. Verify and record all measurements. - Package and mark material according to instructions and prepare for shipping. - Receive and verify incoming material meets specifications. - Load and unload material to/from vendors and customers. - Communicate with Warehouse Lead and appropriate Sales Representative regarding changes/clarification/problems with orders. QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) - High School Diploma - Forklift operating experience in a warehouse environment preferred. - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English. - Metal service center experience preferred.
