"Music Genres" Labels which pigeon hole and limit your creativity as well as your ability to access and appreciate freely. I play guitar, mostly, and am sorely missing that co-created spark of a band of skilled improvising players. I'm on the search. Do you know your theory? Can you read (not a fast site reader? Ok) And do you ever write? There are no bad genres. Just bad music. Equally all genres offer unique pallets for beautiful expression. If you know your axe, love beauty, can play dynamically, practice religiously, and strive to touch the present moment, lets meet, jam. I've got many years, all the gear and a place to play. I practice lots of jazz cause its a great schooling, but I love a good funk groove and there are so many beautiful songs of every genre in the world already. I sing a few too. Lets get together
