I remember $4 gas back then, L.P. and natural gas was higher than current price. So, that explains why Dems won in'08. People blamed 8yrs. of Bush for the economy. Oil Companies made record profits for a couple yrs., then dropped the price just enough to shut us up! Obama got credit for an improved economy and was reelected. Those days are over! There will not be any 2 term Presidents after Obama. Like it or not, our collective attention span has put us in a four year loop. That is the ultimate fate of a 2 party republic, that's operated by greedy capitalists. Just a blame game, where future generations don't have a chance, unless you win the lottery. Think about how much money the state and feds get from taxing lottery winners! Too bad we don't tax oil companies the same as lotto winners, there would be no deficit.
