The ways that advanced technology, big data, and computer analytics are changing residential appraisal will be introduced. • Advancements in technology, including Automated Valuation Models (AVM), that are modernizing appraisal practice will be identified. • Lenders will formulate an understanding of the anticipated benefits expected from Appraisal Waivers with and without property inspections, Desktop Appraisals, and Hybrid [desktop] Appraisals. • The GSE’s new Desktop Appraisal and Hybrid [desktop] Appraisal processes will be examined from a lending perspective. • Freddie Mac’s new Automated Collateral Evaluation and Property Data Report (ACE + PDR) will be explained. • The new desktop requirements for detailed dimensional floorplans, examples of floorplans, and 3D scanning technology will be discussed.
