Celebrate the holidays in St. Anne’s Hill Historic District with a walking tour of charming Victorian homes, decorated for the season’s festivities. Each tour will be led by guides dressed in period costumes, brimming with information about this 19th century Dayton neighborhood. NEW THIS YEAR! While the Bossler Mansion is under construction, the neighborhood is thrilled to feature a new grand finale! The tour concludes at one of the neighborhood's most beautifully renovated Victorian homes; after exploring inside, guests will exit to an outdoor Bavarian themed wonderland, overlooking a specially created WinterGarden. Cozy up to enjoy the casual backyard environment, complete with fire pit and heaters, sweet and savory treats, and conversation with neighbors. (Tickets required) Also -- plan to stop by the old violin store at 1500 E. Fifth Street to enjoy the *new* location for Holiday Gift Shoppe, featuring unique gift items handmade by residents and friends of St. Anne's Hill. Tour Size Limits. To ensure greater communication with the guide and more "elbow room" inside the houses, we have reduced the size of each tour group this year. Please note that this is for health and safety, as well as general enjoyment. Because space is more limited than past years, we encourage you get your tickets soon. Event Information: There are approximately 40 tour times available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Click "SELECT A DATE" and then click "TICKETS" to see remaining availability for each tour time. The area was part of the original out-lots of the city of Dayton, which were plotted in 1815 by Daniel C. Cooper, an early settler of the city. Some might call it the first suburb of Dayton. By the 1830s, the first documented use of the name "St. Anne's Hill" appeared in newspaper advertisements promoting the sale of nursery stock from a local greenhouse. St. Anne's Hill became a registered historic district in 1974. The holiday tour began in 1983. ABOUT US: The St. Anne's Hill Historic District neighborhood relies on the efforts of the volunteers in St. Anne's Hill Historic Society, its residents and the community to ensure its continued success and growth. The St. Anne’s Hill Historic Society is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Visit www.stanneshill.org for more information. FAQ When should I arrive?
