Come out and enjoy this guest artist invitational and hear some truly phenomenal blues music. We are offering two show times - 6:30 PM to 7:45 PM and 8:15 PM to 9:30 PM. Our 6:30 show for October 27 is now sold out. Tickets are still available for our 8:15 PM show! Tickets are $10 per person. Reservations for this event are being sold by the table. However, if the restaurant has to close and/or Willie cannot perform due to weather (snow, etc), we will issue refunds to ticket-holders. --------- October's Special Guest! --------- Receita de Samba join Willie's band on October 27th! Husband and wife, Anna Borges and Bill Ward, will play alongside Willie as well as do a few solo numbers. Receita de Samba, taken from Jacob do Bandolim's choro of the same name, means in Portuguese "recipe for samba", an apt name for a group who's focus is to showcase the many flavors of Brazilian music in their purest form, with no artificial additives like drum machines or electronic sampling. The chefs de cuisine are husband and wife duo Anna Borges and Bill Ward, who draw from Boston's vibrant Brazilian music scene to cook up only the finest bossa nova and samba, and well as regional specialties such as forró, ijexá, and coco. More at: receitadesamba.com. ------- ABOUT WILLIE J LAWS BAND -------The Willie J Laws Band is one of the notable Blues acts with a modern funky style that’s uniquely its own. The band’s sound includes deep Texas roots music, add some funk, and jazz influenced bass patterns, and the influence of various Afro-Caribbean drum beats, a genre-bending sound tempered with a groove from Motown, Memphis, Muscle Shoals, the Gulf Cost of Texas, and New Orleans. This isn't strictly Blues, much of it is original music with it's own sound and tempo. You will enter the Willie J Laws Band musical train, cover a varied terrain with its assorted musical sounds.
