The laughter is coming to Owego when Homebrewed Comedy hits the stage at the John Barleycorn on Wednesday, Dec. 7. Manny Santiago is headlining the show and Daphne London and Dan Mullen are joining host Mike Peters. The show starts at 7:30 p.m., and there's a recommended $5 donation at the door, which opens at 7. Come out and enjoy the show. About the comedians: Mike Peters, a Binghamton comedian, specializes in self-deprecating, observational humor. A contributor for Funny or Die, Peters is the founder of Homebrewed Comedy. He hosts at the Syracuse Funny Bone and Wise Crackers in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and Uptown Roast Battle and opened for Super Troopers’ Rabbit, Erik Stolhanske and Gilbert Gottfried. Peters produces shows all over New York and hosts his weekly podcasts, On the Mic with Mike Peters and It’s About Time: A Sopranos Watch Podcast. One of the finest comedians in Elmira, Dan Mullen has a sharp mind and clever writing style that doesn’t disappoint an audience. With a steady stream of jokes that’ll make you think and keep you entertained, Mullen has delighted crowds all over New York. Mullen’s a regular in the Ithaca scene, was a finalist in the Funniest Person in Rochester contest in 2015 and is a contributing writer for Funny or Die. Daphne London is a singer-songwriter from central Pennsylvania. She performs a unique blend of sweet, melodic comedy with her guitar. A daughter of an immigrant, London was taught to play music at a young age and has been performing her whole life. She’s performed in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C. A comedian based in Harrisburg, Pa., Manny Santiago is a regular at the Harrisburg Comedy Zone. He makes audiences laugh with a unique mix of crowd work, observational humor and real-life experiences with a dark twist. He co-host of two podcasts, the wrestling-themed Falls Count Anywhere with Brandon Youngblood and A Boy and His Fridge, with co-host Mike O’Donnell.
