Join Group for the East End and Artfully Long Island (formerly Naturally Curious Children) on Saturday, November 26th at 2:30pm at Downs Farm Preserve to make your own Yarn Wrapped Winter Trees. We'll be using a collection of recycled, secondhand and thrifted yarn, beads, pipe cleaners, and more to decorate cardboard that has been precut into tree shapes. They can also stand up on their own!
There will be lots of colors to choose from so you may create Christmas trees, snowy trees, rainbow trees, color block trees or any kind of tree you can imagine.
Feel free to set up anywhere on the grounds on a blanket or join us at the picnic table but remember to dress warm because we will be outside in the fresh air.
All ages are welcome, of course varying levels of adult assistance will be required. Hope to see you there!
There will be no access to restrooms so please prepare for that as well.
For any questions please contact Group outreach director Taralynn Reynolds at [email protected]
