Data on the Floods and their impact: Flash floods in Pakistan have left 4.2 million people in urgent need of humanitarian assistance as the number of deaths and injuries continues to climb. Flooding has caused damage to vital infrastructure including thousands of miles of roads and bridges, has destroyed nearly 1 million homes, and has caused over 700,000 livestock to perish. Islamic Relief teams on the ground have assisted over 550,000 individuals through the distribution of 6,350 cash grants; 5,888 food packs with basic staples including flour, rice, and oil; thousands of gallons of clean drinking water daily; and thousands of hygiene kits, kitchen sets, and tents for shelter.
