A rough draft agenda is below: 1:30pm - 1:40pm Check In 1:40pm - 1:45pm Introduction by Tekon Technical Consultants 1:45pm - 2:45pm "From Design to Demo: Injecting Energy Efficiency into the Lifecycle of your Hospital" 2:45pm - 3:30pm Business Meeting 3:30pm - 4:30pm Socializing & Drinks Educational Session - "From Design to Demo: Injecting Energy Efficiency into the Lifecycle of your Hospital" From the design to the demo of your building, there are a multitude of decisions that drive the energy efficiency of your building. Building automation and other management systems produce massive amounts of data. FDD and analytics aim to take this data and reduce it to actionable items and relevant performance indicators. How can facilities apply these tools to better leverage building and equipment data so energy efficiency is present throughout the lifecycle? A vision for fault detection and analytics is the key to transforming data to actionable value from the design of your building through a change of use. The following presentation will cover the following: Part 1: Design and Construction - What does your OPR say regarding energy efficiency and Commissioning? - What KPIs should be considered and what steps should be taken when? - How can Fault Detection be used for Functional Testing/Warranty Period and lay the foundation for an efficient building? Part 2: Collaborative Commissioning using your FDD and Analytics Data - How to leverage data as your building evolves - Setting Goals and sticking to them Part 3: A Case Study: we will then discuss the application of FDD software at several large health care organizations in Florida and Pennsylvania. Envinity will use case studies and examples from these buildings to address the following topics related to FDD: • What are the benefits of using FDD? • What buildings/organizations is FDD best suited for? • Using FDD to avoid operational and energy degradation over building lifecycle • Help guide NEHES members not to a specific software, but to a specific strategy Attendees will: 1. Learn the basics of what an FDD is, and where it is most applicable 2. Understand energy strategies and best practices for implementing FDD services 3. Understand the benefits of FDD throughout the typical building lifecycle 4. Learn how to best apply FDD in your construction process and how to amend your OPR or Specs Speakers - James Pivirotto - Sr. Energy Analyst with Envinity, Inc. Jim brings together strengths in data analytics, energy program management and fault detection and diagnostics (FDD). He acts as many roles as a Sr. Analyst and leads an interdisciplinary team of engineers and analysts. Specializing in FDD and measurement and verification techniques tailored to each project’s needs; Jim assures project energy performance is both measured and sustained. Jim is passionate about using his FDD and data analytic skills to help ensure that his team’s work is successful and properly verified.
