This FREE program covers a wide range of topics where participants work together in a small group (fewer than 10 people) to learn about how making healthier eating choices and how incorporating more physical activity can help lower their risk of developing diabetes. The program, which is led by a trained Lifestyle Coach in a relaxed and private classroom setting, is delivered beginning with 16 weekly sessions followed by 3 bi-weekly & 6 monthly sessions.
THIS WILL BE AN IN-PERSON WORKSHOP
We are looking for participants who:
1. Are at least 18 years old and eager to make small lifestyle changes to improve their long term health
2. Overweight with a Body Mass Index greater than 25 (BMI > 25)
3. Be at high risk of developing type 2 diabetes, or already have been diagnosed with prediabetes.*
*Individuals who have already been diagnosed with type 1 or 2 diabetes should instead participate in our Diabetes Self-Management Program for help.
