Join us December 10th, 2022 for the Central Texas Murph Challenge!
“Murph” is a CrossFit Hero named after Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, who was killed in Afghanistan June 28, 2005. He was 29, of Patchogue; N.Y. Lt Murphy was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor after his death.
Many CrossFit affiliated gyms, military members, veterans, and civilians participate in the “Murph” every year to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for this great nation.
This annual fundraiser supports Patriots Hall of Dripping Springs whose mission is "to create a permanent retreat and resource base for Veterans of all ages and military branches to connect and find support.
The MURPH challenge will consist of a mile run, followed by 300 air squats, 200 push-ups,100 pull-ups, and ends with another mile run all while wearing a 20lb vest for men or combat armor.
This is designed as a team event; final times will be based on the average individual completion times of all members on a team.
Each team must have at least 5 people and you’ll only have 1 pull-up bar per team so timing and strategy are important if you want to finish in time. Don’t hog the bar!
