54 year old Quadrapalegic patient with Spinal Muscular Atrophy in need of caregiver. Looking for a candidate who is able to work 2 to 3 days per week. A live in situation would be workable if the interest is there. I reside in Camarillo, and am looking for someone who can help me with my everyday needs. This would include in and out of bed, meals, toileting, bathing, transfer to and from wheelchair. I am up all day in my electric wheelchair and am self-sufficient for short periods of time. Caregiver required to sign up to be an In Home Supportive Services (IHSS) provider and Waiver Personal Care Services (WPCS) provider. We can help you become both. Position requires fingerprinting and background check (Live Scan). I love to take an occasional outing to run errands, go to the store or local eateries. Additionally, I would have occasional doctor / physical therapy appointments. I have a Hoyer Lift and a specially equipped van with ramp and EZ lock for easy transport. Applicant must have: Ability to legally work in the U.S. IHSS requires that their providers have a Social Security Number. Be a non smoker. Patience and a good sense of humor. Proof of Covid vaccination. Be an animal lover (and not allergic to dogs / cats) - I have a super cool and friendly German Shepherd and my full time caregiver has a playful cat. The dog has full run of the house while the cat roams the house when the full time caregiver is here, on his days off the cat stays in his room. Be able to to apply as an IHSS Provider (they require the Livescan clearance). California Driver License. DMV check with clean record. Basic First Aid. Contact Duane
