I have a pretty cool double tank stand that holds 2 huge aquariums.
The stand: It's a metal stand, and the bottom rack can also be converted to storage if you put a wooden board over it instead of another aquarium. It's pretty darn sturdy as long as it's level. If you have uneven carpeting put a foam mat under it to level it out.
The tanks: 2 55 gallon aquariums. They are used but in great condition. A bit dirty.
Extras: the top aquarium has a custom foam, concrete, and rubber pond liner background. I made the background using aquarium safe silicone as the glue.
The background has a very large built in cave because the tanks have only ever been occupied by my axolotls.
The background could be removed with elbow grease if the tank is completely dried out and you are careful not to damage the glass.
The bottom background is a simple sheet of lamented ocean artwork.
Both tanks have lights that work great but they have calcified mineral build up on them so you want want to clean them off with a damp rag.
This entire setup, 2 tanks, double stand, backgrounds and lighting is $150 obo.
Axolotls are not included, nor are the filters. They are just getting upgraded to a nicer habitat & I'm keeping their old filters. No substrate or sand included.
The Catch: Pretty cheap for all this stuff BUT I live on a 2nd story floor with lovely outdoor stairs.
The setup is pick up only. I broke my ankle in Feb and can't help you get to your car because I'm not allowed to lift heavy stuff for 4-5 for months.
You will need a truck or a good deal of space in your vehicle to pick this all up, unless you plan on taking multiple trips.
The stand breaks down into multiple pieces, so it's easy to move, but each 55 gallon aquarium is big enough to take up the entire backseat of our 4 person car. Aquariums are always no fun to relocate.
