Afternoon/Evening Caregiver

We are looking for an afternoon/evening Caregiver for a young man with Autism. We have an amazing Caregiver right now, but she just got her nursing license so she will be leaving us soon! As sad as we are to see her go we are hopeful to find someone to train with her and replace her when she leaves. The hours are Monday-Friday 2-8pm A little bit about Ryan. He is 26 years old and very sweet and silly. He does most of his outings and daily chores with his morning staff. He loves to watch anything by Disney, listening to music, and going to the park to swing. He also enjoys going out to eat. his favorite restaurants are The Old Spaghetti Factory, Chili's, Papa Johns's, and Red Robin to name a few. He also LOVES cheese... mac and cheese, parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese... all the cheese! He is very sweet and kind. He has NEVER been aggressive towards others in his entire life. When he is feeling anxious, has a headache, or feels grumpy he will speak in an agitated tone and repeat phrases and sometimes yell. Which is very manageable and easy to redirect. What we are looking for from the evening staff is as follows; 1) Light housekeeping; Help with Ryan's laundry, keeping his areas neat and picked up, keeping the kitchen clean, bedroom and bathrooms clean 2) Meal preparation 3) Medication Administration Prescribed meds and any over-the-counter medications he may need 4) Writing in the daily provided Med/Food/Mood log Last, but not least... actually the MOST important is companionship... keep him company, talk to him, be kind to him treat him like you would anyone else. Like a friend. While he has special needs and does need quite a bit of care and supervision he is still human just like all of us and enjoys having kind, caring, upbeat people around him. In order to get along with Ryan you must be warm, kind, and compassionate. If you do end up going anywhere or driving Ryan we do reimburse mileage and provide a mileage sheet. Which will be paid biweekly with your paychecks. If this sounds like a good fit and something you may be interested in.
