Description
Photos: Dipper is on the right near the back. He is older, black all over with a brown spot on his butt, and a white stripe on his back. Wilbur is the one on top of the hide. He has a little white cowlick on his head and chestnut, white, and black blotches all over. (No other pictured guinea pigs are available.) The situation: These two probably need separate homes. They are not a well-bonded pair. They got along when they were in a larger group, but when we removed the girls they got stir-crazy. If you have 2+ boys already, I think they could fit in. If you only have one, it would be best to only adopt one, so the pair doesn't overwhelm the cage dynamic. They need time apart, but they cannot be alone! Guinea pigs can't tolerate isolation of any kind, so I will not rehome either one to an empty cage. Dipper came from a home that kept him in a garage, where he lived alone in a rabbit carrier for a long time. Because he was isolated, he is a bit awkward with other pigs and usually keeps to himself. Wilbur is young, social, and inquisitive, but he seems peeved ever since being stuck with Dipper. They're both very gentle, but skittish sometimes. They would probably be best for older kids and up. Their current cage is generally well enriched. We give them plenty of room, hides, toys, forageables, and various fresh foods. Because we try to treat them well, it's important to know you will, too. If you have a good (NOT minimal) setup, and you can care for them well, then just send me pictures. If you're the right home and there are no issues, consider the fee waived. Until they find a suitable home, however, their rehoming fee is $75 each; $150 total. Firm. I do not want to charge a rehoming fee. Please, do not make me. Just buy a better setup and try again. Bring your own carrier(s), please, as I only own one. Pickup only. Freebies: I could provide some bowls, toys, a water bottle, or a hide or two if you request it, but I need to keep most things for the other guinea pigs.
