Andrew is a veteran acoustic guitarist, singer, and soloist who has played professionally for the last 30 years. He studied guitar, piano, and voice at the Interlochen Arts Academy and the Peabody Conservatory, and worked his way through college and medical school playing folk music and 70s soft rock in bars, restaurants, coffee houses, and on college campuses from Baltimore to Miami. His voice is a blend of Art Garfunkel, Johnny Mathis, Billy Joel, and James Taylor, and while he plays almost exclusively soft rock hits from the 70s, Andrew also considers himself a James Taylor Tribute artist.
More about Andrew Moffitt:
He has spent many years studying James Taylor’s music, focusing on his signature guitar playing style and his smooth, silky, baritone vocals, and he has performed on stage twice with JT’s younger brother Livingston Taylor. Andrew is a native of South Florida and now lives in Jupiter with his wife and two children. He holds a B.A. degree from The Johns Hopkins University and an M.D. degree from The University of Miami School of Medicine. He also has a busy Internal Medicine geriatric practice in North Palm Beach and his patients can often be seen enjoying his music at local venues when he performs.
