Enjoy the sights and sounds of the holiday season as you tour five historic buildings decorated with all-natural materials and interact with costumed characters from Halifax's past. Enjoy an optional horse-drawn wagon ride to each building on the tour. Enjoy colonial-era refreshments at the William R. Davie House. Check-in for Yuletide By Lanternlight is required at the registration table, beginning at 3:30 p.m. on Fri. Dec. 2nd at the visitor center of Historic Halifax State Historic Site, 25 Saint David St. Halifax, NC. Check-in will provide your actual event ticket. Check-in closes at 7:00 p.m. Guests must begin tour by 7 p.m. to allow time to see all tour buildings. Refunds will not be given for "no-shows". Tour will be held rain or shine. Covid-19 Precautions: Masks are optional inside buildings and recommended for non-vaccinated individuals. Hand sanitizer will be available. Building tours are designed with a one-direction traffic flow.
