Description

Nobody has escaped the impact of the pandemic. It has caused public, personal, national, and international trauma. Caring for others while handling their own worry and anxiety during the pandemic has resulted in compassion fatigue in health care providers. Join Dr. Caryn Honig as she explains what compassion fatigue is and how it can be addressed. Dr. Honig is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian and owns Dr. Caryn Honig Nutrition (formerly The Healthy Weigh), a private practice offering nutritional counseling where she counsels patients who struggle with eating disorders and disordered eating. She is also an adjunct clinical professor at University of Houston—and teaches Introduction to Nutritional Counseling and Current Issues in Eating Disorders. She chose the field of nutritional counseling because of her past struggles with anorexia and bulimia. She has been in recovery for over 30 years.
