Description
AIRIcerca New York, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute in New York and the Marlene Meyerson JCC Center Manhattan presents: "Art and the Brain: science, creativity, and healing". Producing art or just admiring works of art projects us in different dimensions and enables us to cope with life experiences, express emotions, and unfold creativity, with dazzling effects on mental and physical well-being. Current scientific research has been exploring the link between the brain and art. Results of these studies suggest that art can be a powerful tool to promote brain health, partially counteracting the effects of stress and diseases. During the event, artists and neuroscientists will discuss the brain processes and the benefits of art immersion from different points of view.
