TRAINING IS FREE, BUT REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED! Day 1: Date: December 20th Time: 10 AM-2:30 PM CST Presentation Title: Behavioral Health Awareness for First Responders Event Description: This training will highlight the most common behavioral health concerns for fire services members including depression, anxiety, substance use, prost-traumatic stress, and suicide. Participants will gain a greater understanding of the impact of these behavioral health issues and how certain aspects of the first responder occupation are protective and risk factors for developing certain behavioral health conditions. This presentation will include strategies for improving mental well-being and highlights available treatment options to address the needs of members. At the conclusion of the behavioral health awareness portion of the presentation, we will also discuss the importance of multi-agency debriefings and highlight best practices for achieving the best outcomes. 1 Continuing Education Credit Hour Available Advanced Recovery Systems has been recognized by the National Board of Certified Counselors as an Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP No. 6874). Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Advanced Recovery Systems is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs. Day 2: Date: December 21st Time: 10 AM-3:30 PM CST Presentation Title: Managing Stress, Establishing Work-Life Balance, and Practicing Mindfulness for First Responders Event Description: This training will explore the impact of stress on first responders, on and off the job. Attendees will learn about the prioritization of stress management and mindfulness techniques to decreases stress, improve resilience, and achieve a greater sense of balance between their work and home lives. Attendees will be better equipped in a self-care practice and understand the importance of recognizing their own stress levels. This presentation will also provide insight to the concept of work-life balance, how to recognize imbalance, and strategies for achieving equilibrium across their unique domains of life. 1 Continuing Education Credit Hour Available Advanced Recovery Systems has been recognized by the National Board of Certified Counselors as an Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP No. 6874).
