Hold Me Tight® for Nearly-weds and Newlyweds is a two-day intensive workshop based in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy by Sue Johnson, and the “Start Strong” course developed by Dr. Larry Pemberton. This workshop is held in Knoxville, Tennessee to help couples establish strong bonds and create a more secure, intimate relationship. This workshop will help you better understand myths and misconceptions about marriage; Why you chose your partner; What you saw and learned about marriage as you were growing up; Establishing your own expectations and boundaries; Get to know each other deeply through a “Life Script” exercise; Identifying and taming “The cycle;” Intimacy, romance, sex, friendship and spirituality; Your vision for your marriage and future; Basic money management. The workshop is interactional with instruction, discussion, and time for you to work through your own “Start Strong” workbook which will become the blueprint for the lasting and loving marriage you want and deserve! This workshop is led by marriage therapists Dr. Larry Pemberton and Nick Symon of Healing Hearts Counseling.
