The NEITE Board of Directors is pleased to announce the 2022 NEITE Annual Meeting on November 10, 2022. The program below provides details on the technical program, awards, happy hour networking, and some opportunities to win raffle prizes. We have pulled together one training session and two really intriguing technical sessions. Professional development hours (PDHs) will be made available through ITE International. Program:11:30-2:30PM….Signal Timing Corridor Management Training (2.5 PDHs) Webinar presented by ITE; Lunch Provided In 2021, the Traffic Engineering Council kicked off the "Traffic Signal Timing Webinar Series" with three informative sessions dedicated to various topics related to the signal timing process. This training will take a broader look at timings and how they can be coordinated along a corridor. Part one focuses on corridor management where you will be introduced to the basics of traditional traffic signal synchronization methods. Part two will discuss the next generation of signal technology for synchronizing signal systems and evaluating their performance, with a focus on Adaptive Signal Control Technology (ASCT) which has the capability to adjust traffic signal timings in real-time to current traffic demand. Raffle Info:For those who have not heard about our Section’s reorganization, the New England Section will be reorganizing at the end of 2022 into three new sections: Northern New England (Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont); Southeastern New England (Massachusetts and Rhode Island); and Connecticut. With this reorganization, the remaining existing funds for the Thomas Desjardins Scholarship will be awarded to four recipients at the upcoming MAITE meeting on Thursday, October 6th and new scholarships will begin within each of the three new Sections. As such the New England Section is reaching out to its members and their firms for Gift donations to raffle off at the Annual Meeting with all proceeds going towards funding the start-up of these new scholarships. The New England Section has decided that these start-up funds will be distributed evenly between the three new sections.
