Your responsibilities will include (this list may not include all necessary duties): Assemble mechanical components for garage doors and automatic gates. Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance. Repair or replace worn or broken gate and garage door parts using hand tools. Disassemble equipment for maintenance or repair. Remove parts or components from equipment. Install hardware or other fixtures. Fabricate parts or components. Run wiring to connect gate operator systems and garage door openers. Lubricate equipment to allow proper functioning. Test mechanical equipment to ensure it is functioning properly. Document operational activities. Recommend neccessary repairs. Collect payments for good or services. You will learn all aspects of repairing, installing, and servicing garage doors, automatic gate systems and gate repair. After your training is complete, you will be promoted to Gate/Door Technician in this position you can expect to earn $60,000-$80,000 plus in your first year as a full-time Technician. Basic Position Requirements: Excellent problem solving, mechanical and technical skills. Ability to follow both written and oral directions. Physically able to lift or move items weighing 75 lbs or higher. Able to bend, climb, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with others under any type of condition. Able to postively communicate with customers to solve issues and influence needed repairs. Ability to multitask. Ability to relay information in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work after hours, evenings, some weekends and holidays. The job environment is fast paced and results oriented. Be able to drive a company vehicle and possess a valid driver license. Must pass Drug test, Background check and Motor Vehicle record check. Reliable and Self Motivated. Knowledge: The position requires a high degree of “selling" to customers of products or services needed, route sales experience is helpful but not required. Knowledge of navigation systems, computers and tablet use. Knowledge of hand tools, mechanical tools, gate and garage door experience is a plus, but not required. Welding Skills is helpful but not required. This is a full time job, Monday through Friday and every other Saturday.
