Seeking Creative Co-Conspirators

Description

I'm looking for performers to help take my studio project out into meat space to play some shows. Most of the instrumental parts are already recorded and sequenced, including beats, bass lines, samples, SFX and other elements. Just need one or two other humans to fill out the stage and shake their thangs, help raise a ruckus, have some fun. The set is already in the can and I *could* perform it alone, but where's the fun in that? Must be comfortable as a performer, not a shoe-gazer or mannequin. Actual musical chops would be fantastic, but the parts aren't all that hard. Vocals will be processed so if you can sing even a bit, great. But it's most important that you're fearless on stage and willing to take creative risks in a live setting. I need someone on guitar or keys. You don't need to be a virtuoso, but working knowledge of music theory would be useful. Room for improvisation. Sense of groove and timing and sonics > fast fingers. I also need someone who can play hand percussion. Shakers, tambourine, claves, guiro, maybe beat on a snare or tom-toms or crash. The beats are sequenced. The percussion would just add groove / texture / accents. If you're an actual drummer, even better, there's room to build some polyrhythms in the tracks. And hell – if you just want to dance and make a spectacle of yourself, there might be room for that, too. I'm open to ideas. The music itself is all original and does not fit neatly into any particular genre. But the creative wavelength — not really the sound, but the mojo — roughly aligns with artists like The Residents, Zappa, Blood Cultures, A Living Soundtrack, Devo, Bowie, James Brown, Mogwai, Sun Ra, Sweet Crude, Captured By Robots, Boyfriend, King Khan, Gorillaz, Daikaiju, Polyphonic Spree, freaks of that nature. To be clear: The songs don't really sound like any of that, for the most part. It's more about the vibe and overall presentation, and a general disregard for preconceived notions and musical boundaries. High concept, high energy, catchy at times, noisy at times, heavy at times, trippy at times, funky at times, some disco beats, some punk beats, some hip-hop beats, polished songwriting, tight performance, big visuals including projections and set pieces, sonic complexity. I have all the backline required, a PA and a place to rehearse. Plug and play. Open to collaboration on future material if things click. HMU if any of this sounds interesting.
