Half Axe is searching for fun, upbeat individuals to guide groups of customers in our axe throwing events! NO EXPERIENCE IN AXE THROWING NECESSARY, JUST AN AWESOME ATTITUDE. We will train you. As a Coach, your primary responsibilities include teaching guests how to throw and stay safe and enthusiastically interacting with them to make their time with us memorable and fun. There’s plenty of time to hone your throwing skills, so you don’t have to be an expert when you walk in the door. We will teach you how to throw and also how to coach. This job requires excited personalities with great enthusiasm to keep the energy alive! You must be comfortable speaking loudly in a crowd and cheering on your throwing group. We are looking for candidates who are : - Responsible - Positive - Friendly - Assertive - Reliable As an axe throwing coach, a typical day might include the following: - Instruct groups on throwing axes, leading through the Half Axe experience. - Run customers through games and tournaments while keeping score - Greet customers, answering questions and outlining our services - Target, axe, and lane maintenance - General light cleaning/maintenance (sweeping, trash, etc.) About Us: We're the longest running urban axe throwing venue in New England, offering unforgettable experiences to the public for birthdays, corporate events, bachelor/bachelorette parties, etc. as well as for general walk-ins. We’re a small, fast-growing company in the Apex Entertainment Center in Marlborough with room for advancement if you're eager to move ahead. We're a team focused business, meaning we like to make sure everyone working for Half Axe is enjoying themselves and having a good time while at work as well as providing our staff the opportunity to take part in the growth of the company. Flexible/Part-time shifts on weekday evenings and weekends available Must Have Saturday Availability Must be able to lift 30lbs and be 18+ years old
