Job description Sign Installer / Service Tech Apprentice General Summary: The primary duties are assisting in the installation of illuminated & non-illuminated signs and vinyl graphics, as well as servicing LED, neon, fluorescent signage. Our intention is to train someone to be a journeyman sign installer & service tech, and to learn the rest of the sign industry. This is a full time position, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm. We offer opportunity for advancement in our growing, stable company. Skills Needed: Construction background or good knowledge of power and hand tools. Must have good math & spelling skills. Good at communicating with people. Requirements: Clean driving record. You must be insurable by our company. Required Traits: Must be in good physical condition, capable of lifting 80 lbs (no back problems) Doesn’t mind working outside. Self-motivated -- some days you will be working alone. Has a sense of urgency and is aware of deadlines and manages time to meet required deadlines. Not a "clock watcher". (Some days require working past 5, for example, if out on a job site and there is only 1 hour left to complete the job, as opposed to returning on a 2nd trip to complete the remaining 1 hour of work.) Skilled in organization, orderliness, and stewardship. You eventually will be responsible for your assigned bucket truck or work vehicle and must keep it clean, organized, stocked, and maintained. Starting Pay: $22 - 25 hr, depending on your experience with construction & hand tools. In 2 years you can be making $27 hr, depending on your learning, developed skills, and speed which you accomplish jobs.
