California Kingsnake Rehoming

Events

Lewisville TX

Description

We’re looking to rehome our California kingsnake (downsizing collection), Cypher. Please note that while we refer to him as “he”, Cypher is unsexed and may be male or female. He is four years old and was hatched in June or July 2018. We’ve had him since August 2018 as a rescue. FIRSTLY AND IMPORTANTLY: kingsnakes tend to bite, and we haven’t had a lot of time to socialize him. Cypher WILL bite hands that enter the enclosure and likely will not let go. Because of this we’re looking to rehome him to an adult who is experienced in keeping kingsnakes or other colubrids who can dedicate the time to him that he deserves. References are preferred. We are not comfortable rehoming him as a pet for a child or a first time keeper. Cypher eats F/T mice and has never refused a meal nor had a stuck shed. He loves to burrow (we currently keep him on a deep layer of aspen), is very curious, and fun to watch. We’re asking a $100 rehoming fee, and that includes his enclosure, decor, heat pad and thermostat, as well as some extra bags of aspen bedding. Please email or text only (3one5-24six-three0two9) if interested.
