Housekeeper/Assistant needed in Watertown, SD area
Jobs
Watertown SD
Description
I am a medically disabled woman working from home in the Watertown, SD area. I am in need of a part time housekeeper and assistant to help me out. THINGS TO KNOW: - We would start with a deep clean of my home. I am willing to pay $300 for the initial clean, which you can either do all in one day or break up over a few days. Things have fallen behind around here, so I can be flexible. Following this, I would like someone to come once a week for three hours per week to maintain the cleaning. I will pay $20/hr for that- $60/visit. I will also provide all cleaning supplies because the parrot is sensitive to certain scents and chemicals. -I have 2 dogs, cats, and a parrot- all are friendly and good-natured. You would not be responsible for the litter boxes or bird cage and I would make sure the bird was put in his cage every time you come to clean. We live in a large farmhouse with 5 bedrooms, an office, and three bathrooms. You would not be responsible for the four upstairs bedrooms. - You would also NOT be responsible for laundry, anything outside, or changing any bedding. I can do the day-to-day things, as well, like cooking and cleaning up dinner. I will have a checklist for you to work off of for visits. If you find that three hours isn't enough every week, we can negotiate more time. - It would be nice if you'd be able to run a few errands for me once in a while as needed, but we can discuss that at a later time. I'd of course be willing to compensate you for this. - I work from home as a book editor, so I will always be here when you are working. I am also able to drive, so if you are limited by transportation issues, coming to get you and taking you home could potentially be arranged. I'm also not opposed if you need to bring a child or two along to work as long as they don't get in the way of the work. If we go this route and I need help with errands, I could still drive as long as you were willing to do the "running in" portion. - I need someone reliable. I know it's not a lot of hours, so I can be flexible around your schedule somewhat because I'm sure you'd need other employment.. But in order for things to run smoothly I would really hope to have someone that I can count on to show up weekly. I have MS, so some days I'm fine and other days I really struggle. You would never have to assist me with any personal care needs, but please understand that I will be more personable at times than others and it should not be taken personally if I seem antisocial. Ha! You may email me or text to inquire about the job. I will not turn away people for having criminal records or other issues in life- I believe everyone deserves a chance and makes mistakes at times- but do, please, be honest with me about any issues that you think I should know. We can help each other. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
