POSITION: Rapid Response Technician - Residential Life LOCATION: NDSCS Campus – Wahpeton ND WHO MAY BE CONSIDERED: Anyone eligible to work in the US TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Full time, 12 month benefited position JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for performing daily general building custodial work in Residential Halls to include entrance ways, hallways, bathrooms, showers, laundry, kitchen, garbage rooms, steps, landings, floors, and walls. Perform minor maintenance and semi-skilled repairs on buildings and equipment to include doors and door hardware, chairs, cabinets, floors, ceilings, furniture to include walls with patching and painting, windows and window hardware. During winter months, efficiently and safely operate grounds snow removal equipment to include walk behind blower, UTV with blade, front mounter sweeper or snow blower. Working hours: Summer- May-August: Monday-Thursday: 6:00am-3:30, Friday 6:00am-10:00am Academic year- August-May: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm BENEFITS: Fully paid family or single health insurance, life insurance, annual & sick leave, employee tuition waiver, spouse/dependent tuition discount, retirement, etc. SALARY: $30,000 – $40,000 - Commensurate with education and experience Minimum Requirements: Support NDSCS mission, vision & values High school diploma or equivalent Ability to work with minimal supervision Good communications skills & a team player Ability to be trained to operate mechanical equipment Ability to perform minor building & equipment repairs Valid Driver’s License Preferred Qualifications: 1-year floor care/maintenance experience 1-year related experience Basic computer skills How To Apply DATE AVAILABLE: As arranged BACKGROUND CHECK: NDSCS does require a successful background check for the selected candidate prior to an official offer of the position.
