You reap what you sew! It's time to pay the piper. In a democracy, you get to vote for your leaders. Over the years republicans have chosen poorly and now when it's time to ante up, you want to bitch because you didn't support common sense legislation 25 years ago when the problem was well known. Liberals knew! We could likely be self sufficient today, had Nixon held true to his promise to move away from oil toward solar. It didn't happen.....Conservatives just kept shooting down any progressive legislation. Perhaps the term "Science deniers" rings a bell.
