Description

We are looking for a loving home for our puppy. His name is Benny & he is very smart, sweet, and loving. We rescued him from the side of the road when he was only a month old & nursed him back to health, so he is very attached & loving with humans. He has grown up in a house with two cats & two kids and he loves both. He can be kind of annoying when it comes to cats, he likes to bug them & they like to just ignore him. During puppy classes he was kind of afraid of other dogs (even the small ones), so we would prefer that he go to a home that doesn't have them. If you do have dogs, they would need to be small & sweet because it might take Benny a while to get used to them. We don't know his exact breed because we rescued him. We have been told that he is part maltipoo mixed with something else. He kind of looks like a mini Australian shepherd. He is still pretty small, even at 4 months, so I think he will be a small dog. He understands how to "sit," "drop it," "leave it," and his name. He does not understand "no" or "stop it" yet. He likes to play fetch & go on walks (he is mostly leash trained, still a little big awkward but mostly used to it). He is not potty trained. Half the time he will use the puppy pad, and half the time he won't. This is really the only reason we have to rehome him. We just don't have the time or patience to potty train him. We want to find him a home with someone who is patient enough to go through this experience & might even have prior experience with potty training a dog. It is important to us that he goes to a home where there are multiple people because he loves people and he would be lonely living with only one person. Also, we want him to be in a home where there are people home often because he gets lonely (we both work 5 days a week and feel so guilty about only being home with him 2 days a week). A home with kids would be a plus. Benny has received his first round of vaccines (we were told he doesn't need any more). Please send me information about yourself if you are interested. Have you owned a puppy before? Do you have experience with potty training? What is your living situation like? Also, we have lots of supplies for you (puppy pads, shampoo & conditioner, deodorizer spray, ear cleaner, a puppy bed, lots of toys, etc.) The rehoming fee is $200.
