Saxophonist and visual artist Georgianna Krieger is celebrating the release of Embrace, a collection of her original compositions. Georgianna’s "melody-driven instrumental music” was written during the height of the pandemic in 2020-2021, when performing and rehearsing were not possible. Narrative and flowing, this is listener-friendly music that straddles the space between cool jazz and popular music genres.
Georgianna – on soprano, alto and baritone saxophones – is joined by an all acoustic ensemble featuring Renaye Brown (percussion), Ted Burik (bass), Susanne DiVincenzo (bass), Greg German (drums), Gaea Schell (piano) and an eclectic list of guest soloists including Nancy Bien (cello), Dave Casini (vibraphone), Helena Jack (flugelhorn), Michele Walther (violin) and Laura Austin Wiley (flute).
