Host Families needed for students attending Coachella Valley high schools beginning January 2023. These are great kids who are here to experience one or more semesters of American culture and the American Dream. Host families may be couples, married or unmarried, or individuals. The basic requirement is a willingness to open your home to the student, provide a safe and nurturing environment, two or three meals a day, and help getting to and from school. Most of the students are J1 Visa students on cultural exchange programs. Each comes with their own spending money, and they pay all costs except as mentioned above. Each has comprehensive health insurance. These students are hosted without stipend. These students attend the high school most convenient to you, the host family. A few students are F1 Visa students on individual independent study programs. Each comes with their own spending money, and they pay all cost except as mentioned above. Each has comprehensive health insurance. These students come with a nominal stipend to cover costs of the host family. These students attend Xavier College Prep High School. Nothing is better for the soul than to know you have had a positive impact on the life of a child.
