Help me get my son back PLEASE

Hello my name is Daisy Lloyd, I don't know who needs to see this or if you could even help me anyway but I have a story to tell. I am on SSI and SSDI because I was disabled before the age of fifteen, I have been abused in every which way my entire life. My mom has lived with me all my life and now that she's gone I am alone trying to learn how to live on my own, when she died in 2017 I became homeless with three children because I no longer had her help. I moved in with my youngest son's dad for a short time and I tell you that house was beyond gross so I decided to take my children back to New Hampshire where my youngest son's grandparents were waiting to take us in and help learn how to be a mom on my own so to speak she took the place of my mother and taught me, the father told me if I took my youngest son with us that he would get an emergency stay order so that none of us could leave the state and then kick me and the other two children out so that he would win full custody of my son, I'm easily to manipulate because of the abuse throughout my life so against my better judgment I left my son behind and I have never forgiven myself, but a few months later they became homeless and I got my son back. I had him in my care from June 2021 to December 2021 because I was living with a boyfriend but when I moved from there back into my son's grandparents house, I stupidly called the father out of respect because I knew he didn't like my sons grandparents who are also his girlfriend's dad and stepmom and asked him if he wanted to take my youngest son to finish out the school year with him and then bring him back home in June once I found another place to live? Of course he said yes and I wish to God I had never made that call because it changed our lives forever, come June the father refused to give my son back saying he wanted more time with him and that a motel was no place for a child. He said he was going to file for custody and win because I live in a motel, he refuses to let me see my son and I barely get to talk to him so rather than going to the courthouse straight away I decided to find a home first, and now that I have an apartment within reach. I went to the court house who told me I should have come back in June because now it is too late. They said my son is a resident of Maine now and that I need a lawyer, I can't afford a lawyer but I know my son and I have been apart for ten months now and I can barely breathe because of it. My mom is no longer here to help me so if you could possibly help me or point me in the right way I would greatly owe you. I need help please please please.
