Seeking a bright and energetic woman to join our small team of private in-home caregiver/ companions for a creative and intelligent 43 year old woman with some acquired impairments due to a traumatic brain injury. The location is Hot Springs. No medical training or prior experience in caregiving is necessarily required for the job. We are looking for a good personality fit and provide on the job training. The good candidate will be patient, reliable, caring, adaptable to a variety of situations, fun, energetic, engaged in life, stable, and looking to build a relationship with the client and the job that can last years. Shifts are 12.25 hours. We are looking for someone who can commit to 2-3 shifts per week. Not looking for temporary work. The home is safe and comfortable, and the family is local and involved with care. There is one medium sized dog who is gentle and friendly. Tasks include (but are not limited to): companionship, helping with activities of daily living (extra assistance with memory and balance), cooking, driving (we have a car to use), light housework, accompanying the client to some appointments and social functions, some assistance with personal care, help with medication, and exercise. You must also be able to lift 30 pounds and assist a 130 pound woman with balance. This is not a passive "sitting" job. The team and family is very supportive, and the client is a member of a loving and supportive community and is living her best life in spite of challenges. Training pay is $16/hr
Starting pay $17/hr
Pay raise will be considered after 3 months
PTO benefits begin accruing after 3 months
