Come see 2nd generation, master silhouette artist Chris Casey fashion heirloom quality silhouette portraits and explore Pottery Barn Kids while you're there! This a fun activity for the whole family. You can even bring a side-view photo of Rex or Whiskers and have a PET SILHOUETTE PORTRAIT done too! These classic silhouette portraits make great HOLIDAY GIFTS. Grandparents love them! Using only precision surgical scissors and fine black paper, Chris hand-cuts an heirloom quality silhouette portrait in just 2-5 minutes. Many people take video or pictures to remember the event! After the silhouette is cut, it is mounted on a 5x7 card or framed in traditional oval silhouette frames. The entire process is done on site and usually takes only 5 to 10 minutes. It's amazing to watch. PRICING These hand-cut Classic Silhouettes are only $35! Up to 3 additional hand-cut copies are available for just $15 each, and traditional oval silhouette frames are available for $45. Major Credit Cards accepted. Please schedule one appointment per person. Multiple appointments not required for additional copies of the same person. There are 3 appointments scheduled approximately every 15-20 minutes, so a family of 3 can purchase 3 tickets for the same appointment time. Your $10 ticket price will be deducted from your total at checkout. NO AGE LIMIT Adults and newborns are welcome. Surprise your girlfriend or boyfriend! It's great for couples, teens, grandparents - everyone! Chris often works with sleeping newborns, and squirmy little toddlers are our favorites. HOME-SCHOOL ENRICHMENT ACTIVITY Although forms of silhouettes were featured in the artwork of the Egyptians and Greeks, silhouette portraiture was popularized in its modern form in the 18th century. So for the many families choosing to home-school this year, having a silhouette portrait done can contribute to their history or art course. SOCIAL DISTANCING We are vaccinated, use hand sanitizer regularly, and comply with state and local safety requirements. Although we try to keep some space open for walk-ins, portrait sittings are mainly by appointment, to help control social distancing. These appointments are limited. Please make your reservation as soon as possible. IN-PERSON APPOINTMENTS or TEXT A SIDE-VIEW PHOTO We love meeting families and making new friends, but we also understand that, for many reasons, not everyone can show up in person. At risk groups, anyone quarantining, those hoping to surprise family or friends, or even exhausted parents can text a side-view photo prior to the event. The mounted silhouette portrait will be ready for you to pick up at Pottery Barn Kids, or for an additional charge, we can mail the silhouette directly to your residence.
