Come experience forest bathing with a slow and somatic wellness walk in the natural environment of 2 of our preserves, Quinnipiac Meadows Preserve and our Long Wharf preserve. As a Certified Nature and Forest Therapy guide, Maura Smotrich will offer you a series of invitations that will open your gateway to sensory awareness and feeling embodiment in the present. The practice of forest bathing, aka nature therapy, is restorative and supports the health and healing of both individuals and the natural environment. We ask that you: bring a reusable, filled water bottle, bug repellant, comfortable and sturdy walking shoes, dress in layers and for the weather, if damp out, a mat of sort to sit on the ground with as we will be outdoors the entire time. Please note that there are no bathroom facilities along the trails at both locations. This event is open to Adults ages 18 and over. Each walk has a maximum capacity of 14 people. (Please do not bring animals unless they are a service or emotional support animal) Gather New Haven will host a family event in the spring for children to join.
