Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. was chartered in the state of Texas on September 8, 1964 as a non-profit educational humanitarian organization. TLOD operates under five major programmatic thrusts: Top Teens, Status of Women, Senior Citizens, Community Partnerships, and Community Beautification. Gotham chapter of Top Ladies of Distinction was established April 23, 1992 after 12 ladies recognized that their was a need in Nassau and Queens Counties. Over the past 30 years, Gotham has been a vital component to the community. We answer the call through our programmatic thrusts as well as being pioneers supporting 100 suits for 100 Men, and starting the first Blessings in a back pack and Blessings in a purse.
Our local partners are: St. John's University, The Greater Allen Cathedral, The Inn, Lupus, March for Babies, Dress for Success and St. Jude's.
On November 18,2022 The Top Ladies of Distinction Gotham Chapter of the Greater New York will be honoring four amazing black owned businesses for their efforts and contributions to the black community. We are honored to showcase these entrepreneurs and celebrate their accomplishments. All ticket sales will go to our inaugural Lady Terrecita Pinder Watkis and Lord Roy Watkis Memorial Scholarship Fund, to be awarded annually to a deserving high school graduating senior within our Top Teen community to facilitate their higher educational attainment.
Top Ladies of Distinction Inc. adheres to all CDC and national organization guidelines for covid. All participants must sign a waiver to attend this event in person and TLOD is not responsible for any health risk associated with attending in person events. Mask are optional.
