A Freedom Carol - How trafficking survivors confront ghosts of the past, present, and future
There are few things in this world that are more difficult to face than the issue of child sexual exploitation. It is an ever-present, restless evil preying on some of our most vulnerable. The enemy is powerful and intimidating. Many turn away, believing that it’s not real, or that it only happens in far-off places. But a few have the courage to face this enemy head-on, undaunted by the scope of the challenge, willing to do whatever they can to help as many children as possible.
If the latter resonates with you, this is your gala.
Each year, we gather to celebrate victories and share updates on our work. From our humble headquarters in Eden, North Carolina, to the streets of Northeast Indiana, and stretching across the globe to our rescue home in the mountains of Thailand, we bring stories of hope from young women who have overcome unspeakable trauma to become the amazing humans God created them to be.
This year, our theme is based on Charles Dickens’ beloved Christmas story. We will hear how victims and survivors deal with ghosts of the past, present, and future as they battle for their freedom. All the whispers they hear when they close their eyes, and the world is quiet.
Our goal, as a Gospel-centered ministry organization, is to change those whispers from the lies of the enemy to the truths of who they really are in the eyes of their loving Father.
In addition to the program and reports, the evening will include a fabulous dessert selection, a silent auction, and a question-and-answer time with our team. We look forward to seeing you there!
