WellBody.WellSoul Nourish. Thrive. Sustain. wellbodywellsoul.com EVENT FAQ'S What is the purpose of this event? |SELF|ish was created to provide a safe and supportive space where women could feel empowered to commit to a journey and practice of mindful, intentional, and radical self-love, self-care, and self-improvement. Naturally and instintually, women are the nurturers, the fixers, the do'ers. But what happens when we neglect to take care of ourselves and how does this effect us overtime? How can we authentically and wholly care for and have healthy relationships with others if we are not planting seeds of vitality, balance, gratitude, love, and growth within ourselves first? Self-care promotes balance, peace of mind, and inner and outer enlightenment as you work towards being and feeling the best version of yourself at every stage in your life. It is not selfish to value, love, and care for yourself. It is not selfish to pour back into yourself and commit to acts that will allow you to thrive and bloom wherever you are planted. Self-care is a neccessity, a right, and a responsibility that you owe to yourself. Get aligned with your needs and desires in order to thrive and sustain physically, mentally, emotionally, spritually. Give yourself permission to adopt a practice of |SELF|-ish that works for and benefits YOU. What is a Creative Day Retreat? The purpose of a retreat is to provide space and allow time for one to break away from their normal routine; from the hustle and bussle, demands, and pressures of everyday life. An intentional isolation, away from distractions, that allows one to go deep within, to strengthen, restore, and reconnect with yourself; a place where you can let go, find stillness, get ansewers, obtain clarity, and find peace of mind. Usually retreats are week long or weekend getaways at a remote location. A "Day Retreat" is an abbriviated version of this. Surrounded by the artwork on display at Congress Heights Arts and Culture Center and using creative, stimulating, and thought provoking activities that touch on all areas of wellness, we create a unique "express" retreat experience to allow you to escape for a few hours out of the day and return to your normal life feeling charged, empowered, inspired, refocused, and restored.
