Hack the Hood invites you to Tech Futures, our year end fundraiser kick off and movie screening for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Join us as we launch our campaign to raise $40,000 to allow Hack the Hood to continue to serve our Black, Latinx, AAPI and Indigenous youth with innovative tech education, identity-affirming, mentorship, and career pathways in the tech industry. We invite our learners, alumni, families, friends, advocates, partners, and the larger Oakland community to share in the excitement of this cultural moment with a movie focused on STEM and the advancement, ingenuity, and strength of the Black community. The movie starts at 3:00 and has a runtime of 2 hours and 41 minutes. We will start gathering outside of Grand Lake Theater at 2:00 pm for festivities before the doors open at 2:30pm. Thanks to our partners from the Badger Real Estate Group, we are offering a free shuttle ride to Grand Lake Theater from EOYCD, located at 8200 International Blvd, Oakland, CA 94621. The shuttle departs from EOYDC at 1:30 and returns at 7:15pm.
