The Historic BK House is partnering with Nous Foundation to bring their short film, Film Quest, to the big screen on Tuesday, November 15 at 6pm!
When Franky finds out his dad is sick and can't afford the treatments he needs, he enlists his crew of friends and movie-making cohorts to enter a local film fest and to compete for the prize of $100,000. The catch is, they have five days to complete this monumental project.
The film is approximately 25 minutes long and is in French with English subtitles. It will be followed by a panel discussion that includes Sam Craft, the actor behind the film's protagonist, and a performance by members of his band, Sweet Crude that includes Skyler Stroup and Alexis Marceau.
Doors will open at 5:30pm with the event starting by 6pm.
About Sam:
Sam Craft is the lead singer and violinist in the local indie band, Sweet Crude, whose music sung in both Louisiana French and English highlights the importance of keeping Louisiana's unique French language alive for a new generation. Singer, songwriter, and now a lead actor in Film Quest, Sam Craft's work spans different artistic genres and feeds into his activism for French. In addition to his work with Sweet Crude, Sam has worked on several projects with the Nous Foundation.
