We welcome you to join our season kick off event! Join Women Who Backcountry Ski and Snowboard (WWBSS), Black Diamond and Utah Avalanche Center (UAC) for a free in-person “Know Before You Go”. Say hello to old friends in the community, meet new members and brush off the dust of your avalanche education. Snacks and beverages provided by Black Diamond as well as 20% in store discount to all who attend (for exception of avalanche airbags). You must register via Eventbrite. We welcome women of all ages (including transgender and cisgender) as well as non-binary people who identify with the women’s community. Know Before You Go (KBYG) is the first step in your journey through avalanche education. The program introduces you to avalanche safety with some simple steps you can take to stay safe and have fun in avalanche terrain. Before you go into the mountains in winter— Know Before You Go.
