Join librarian and genealogist, April Lynne Earle, and the Montauk Library in a program exploring oral history interview techniques for families.
How many times have you pondered your family's history and thought, “I wish I had asked?” Oral history interviews are a wonderful way to document family stories and create bonds with your relatives over your shared history.
Come with your parent, grandparent, kids, and/or grandkids and learn how to prepare for and conduct an oral history interview.
April will teach us some fun interviewing techniques and provide questions one should consider asking of their eldest and youngest relatives alike.
After the workshop, patrons can sign up to reserve our Sound Studio, to record their own oral histories with family members.
This event is free, registration is required.
