Across California, six districts have stepped up as Anchor LEAs to take on the systemic implementation of the CA EL Roadmap. The site principals in these districts have played an essential leadership role in implementing the visionary and comprehensive CA EL Roadmap policy - as voicers of the aspirational vision, as leaders of implementation, as monitors of progress, and serving as the interface with the community. They have found compelling ways to articulate and make clear the importance of pursuing a path of improvement and inform priorities for English learner success. This special forum is designed to bring those site leaders together across the state to share strategies, discuss challenges and lessons learned, - and articulate together what it takes to lead such a comprehensive reform on behalf of English learners. This forum is meant to support and celebrate the Anchor LEA principals and to be a means of documenting their voices to share statewide. Audience: ELRISE!
