"The Link" is a short documentary about the link between animal abuse and child abuse based on local cases in Louisville KY.
From the Director:
Making "The Link" was a journey for me. I first learned about Lad in 2014 through social media and The Arrow Fund. I was living in San Francisco then and got to meet Lad when he came to Sacramento for his surgery. His story touched me deeply. Eight years later, I decided to make a short film about him. My goal was to tell his story. I thought that his ability to forgive and trust could teach us all a lesson. But as I was doing the research for the film, I slowly began to see the link. It became so clear and obvious. Animals, children, the elderly, adults in abusive relationships...They all share something in common. They are vulnerable. That's when I realized, every person needs to know about the link. It's not only about animal abuse and torture. It's about the future of our society.
Screening hosted by The Arrow Fund, in memory of Lad.
Proceeds from this screening will be donated to the Louisville Center For Women & Families.
Seats are limited. Only 50 seats available. Advanced ticket purchase is required.
