Learn the basics of veneer in this beginner level workshop for teens and adults to make a unique pendant. New Orleans based artist and woodworker, Chelsea Van Voorhis, will teach you how to cut veneer to create geometric patterns, correctly tape wood patterns, press to substrate, sand, and finish. Course will include multiple brief lectures with plenty of working class time to experiment and ask questions. You will receive enough materials to make 3 pendants. NOTE: This class is for Beanlandia members. If you are not a Beanlandia member but would like to take this workshop, you can sign up for a Beanlandia membership here. About the Instructor Chelsea Van Voorhis is a visual artist focused on creating fashion forward pieces out of wood with social and political commentary. She uses traditional woodworking materials and techniques to make non-traditional pieces.
