Raw Urth Designs is looking for someone to give us a hand in the shop. Duties would include organizing and cleaning the shop in general. This includes emptying trash cans, sweeping the floors and putting away raw materials and tools. Basic equipment maintenance. Cleaning off the shear and saw of scrap material. Maintaining the consumables and supplies by restocking when needed, keeping areas cleaned out, organized and easily countable for weekly inventory. Outdoor portions of the building are also included in the maintenance and cleaning which would include pallet removal, organization of all yard tools and product keeping clear driving pathway. Outdoor duties also include snow removal, maintaining clean sidewalks and parking areas as well as picking up trash around property. This position also works in a Receiving capacity helping our Purchaser accurately count and receive incoming supplies and raw materials. This includes putting all the above away in a careful and organized manner. Weekly counts and inventories will be needed by the Purchaser from time to time of which the Receiver will complete. It will also be required from time to time to run errands for the Purchaser picking up supplies and raw materials or outside process parts with great care and bring back to the shop to be received, tagged and bundled for upcoming jobs. In addition to being back up to our Purchaser, this position also works as back up to our Shipper assisting in shipping by wrapping, protecting, and loading finished products. Cross-training to cover for Shipper when off from work and being a company representative on product deliveries to job site. This requires a valid drivers license and clean driving record, personable skills, presentable manner to the client and strong business ethics. This position will also help on the laser table by loading/unloading parts and material from the table. Assisting fabricators with any tasks that require another set of hands. Sanding and prepping parts for either fabrication or finishing. General all around extra set of hands wearing all sorts of hats when needed.
