ST MUNIKA executes the progression of her creation of wearables. Initially starting with traditional and moving toward nontraditional materials, Monica Johnson expresses her growth as a multi-media artist through four themes, avant-garde and ready-to-wear, throughout the pre-pandemic and post-pandemic eras. Coming from her beginning stage as a seamstress towards her inner child's playful scenery era, Johnson combines her use of digital fabrication, fabrication, and woodwork to express her new inner growth throughout her personal life and to set the foundation of her artistry. As she takes the entrepreneur route, Johnson hopes this could be the beginning of opening more doors for other artists who have a fashion interest to start where they can and not let anything hold them back.
